Stress and Strain Curve for ductile material

Stress vs Strain curve for ductile material like mild steel:

In the above figure:

A = Elastic point means upto to this point Hook's law is valid

Hook's Law:
When material behaves like elastically then stress is directly proportional to strain.

Here, E is the elastic constant

B = Upper yield point, from this point length of specimen start to change
C = Strain hardening point
D = Ultimate stress, at this point formation of cup-cone start in the specimen
E = Fracture point, it is the failure point of specimen
